A tree only works if it is the right tree, in the right hole, with the right soil – and if it can take a southeastern Alberta summer and winter. We plant trees and large shrubs as part of the same design/build work as sod, sprinklers, and hardscape.
When a tree is sick, storm-damaged, or too close to a house, walk, or line, we remove it. That is project work, not a maintenance route.
Planting a tree or large shrub is a real job: the hole, moving the plant without wrecking the root ball, soil, fertilizer, and getting it set plumb and watered in.
We handle that with the equipment and the same crew that does the rest of the yard. The goal is not just “in the ground.” It is a plant that can establish here.
Ask us on the site visit about species that handle this region. A tree that looks good at the nursery is not always a tree that lasts in Tilley or Medicine Hat.
Removal is the last choice, not the first. It is the right choice when a tree is sick, has lifted a walk, is working on a foundation or a line, took storm damage, or sits too close to the house.
We are set up to take the tree or shrub out and haul it. If the plan is a new tree in that spot, we can plant on the same project.
