Sod Installation
Grade, soil, and sod for homes and businesses in Brooks, Tilley, Taber, and Medicine Hat. A finished lawn, not a seed-and-hope job.
A new lawn only works if the ground under it is right. We install sod as a project: shape the grade, prep the soil, lay the sod, and leave you with a surface you can water in and use.
This is not weekly lawn maintenance. We do not take mowing routes. If the lawn is thin, bare, or you are finishing a patio, wall, or new house pad, sod is the install – not a season of cuts.
We also handle one-time turf work that belongs with a new or rebuilt lawn: aeration, power raking, and overseeding when the job calls for it.
Sod fails when the base is rushed. We walk the site first, talk through sun, slope, and how you water, then build the lawn as part of the same design/build process we use on walls, patios, and sprinklers.
You get a clear quote, a schedule, and the same crew from the visit to the last roll of sod.
Sod is the right call when you want a finished lawn now:
- A new build or a stripped yard
- After a patio, retaining wall, or grade change
- Bare spots too large to nurse along
- A lawn you want replaced, not mowed for another season
If the existing turf is salvageable, we can talk about a one-time aeration, power rake, or overseed instead of a full tear-out. That is still project work, not a care program.
What we install
A typical sod job:
- Site and grade — levels, drainage, and how the lawn meets patios, walks, and walls
- Soil prep — debris out, soil amended where it needs it
- Sod — laid tight, rolled, edges clean
- Water plan — how to get it established; sprinkler install if the yard does not have coverage yet

- Aeration
- Power raking (dethatching)
- Overseeding thin areas instead of a full sod tear-out
- Garden tilling and bed prep next to the new lawn
